AquaRite provides complete pool and spa sanitization using ordinary salt. Aqua Rite use advanced electrolytic technology to convert a small amount of ordinary salt – one teaspoon per gallon of pool water – into a virtually endless supply of fresh, pure chlorine. The process can produce up to 1.45 pounds of chlorine a day – enough to satisfy the sanitization requirements of pools up to 40,000 gallons (151,000L). And since the salt doesn’t wear out or evaporate, you rarely have to add more.

The science behind the technology.
There are two components to Aqua Rite: the control box and its patented Turbo Cell, a specially designed electrolytic converter that installs on your system’s return line, behind the pump, filter and heater. As pool water passes through the Turbo Cell, an extremely safe electrical charge generated by the control box automatically converts the dissolved salt into fresh, pure chlorine. The water is then dispersed evenly throughout the pool by the return jets. Each time the water is recirculated, the salt-based chlorine gets recharged and the cycle is repeated.

I want to turn my 24ft pool into salt water instead of chlorine how would I do that and what should I purchase ?

BEST ANSWER: Determine how many gallons your pool holds and purchase a unit that will handle that or more. You will need to plumb your unit into the outlet side of your pump and filter. You will need to supply power from your pools electric panel to your salt system control panel. Determine the amount of salt based again on the gallons of water in your pool. Adjust your stabilizer and you are good to go. I did this almost 20 years ago and have no regrets.

I have a 17,000 gallon pool, will a 15,0000 gallon generator be ok or do I need to go up to the 25K generator?

BEST ANSWER: I would do the 25k. The 15k will struggle to keep chlorine where you want it.

Do salt systems work well in Arizona ?

BEST ANSWER: Salt systems should work well anywhere. I have used the salt system in two different pools in Nicaragua and it works great. Less maintenance, the chlorine generated seems milder than normal pools, and in one year of not buying chemicals the system is paid for.

would the AQR3 be the right size for a 12,000. gal.inground pool ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes. I run 3200 ppm salt and only have to run the pool 8 hours a day for a beautiful pool. I have been using salt clorinated pools since I built my first one in 1983.
