The Hi-Flow„ backwash valve is designed for maximum performance and working pressures. It features the same quality and reliability you've come to know and expect from Pentair. It's pre-plumbed for easy installation in side-mounted sand or D.E. (diatomaceous earth) filter applications.
The Hi-Flow valve features full six-position, positive lock operation plus a special winterizing position providing access to a full range of filtration system capabilities.
Engineered to accommodate up to 125 gpm flow rates with proper component combinations.
Clearly and permanently marked ports for ease of plumbing & two-inch inlet and outlet ports for unrestricted water flow

Great quality
Ask the Pool Supply people as I have the Pentair unit for a 800 gal spa. Great filter by the way, can't go wrong...really pleased with the quality.

Easy to repair or reconfigure in place.
These are see-through, easilt repaired and reconfigurable, even AFTER installed. Old ones had to be cut out and replumbed. Way better to be able to rebuild in place.

The Pentair Backwash Valve was exactly what I ordered.They deliver what they advertise and have it to you in a timely manner! The price was very reasonable!! Will certainly buy from Pool Supply Unlimited.

Good replacement product
Simple to install. Works great It was a replacement due to a plumbing issue. The label wa. Is not correct with regard to backwash and filter settings but not really a problem

I can't give zero stars or I would.
Pumps are good but REALLY complicated. Pentair's customer service is LESS than pathetic. Filters blow HUNDREDS of pounds of sand back in the pool. The heads of the multiport valves fill with sand after every backwash.
The biggest thing is not the crappy product, but the horrible customer service for any type of direction from Pentair.

Will this valve work with the FSN 60 ? and is this the best valve for it ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is designed to perfectly match up to the FSN 60 input and output ports. I don’t know if it is the best, but it is one of the only few multi port valves specifically designed for these DE filters. One thing to note on these valves is the inside rubber gasket/seal. The seal is glued in but if it has not been done with care it will come loose and leak. I would suggest having it inspected before you put the valve in service.

There's a few of these filters available but not reference to which DE filters any of them work with. Is this compatible with any of the DE Quad filters?

While the majority of Pentair products are covered by a sixty- (60) day warranty, a select number of products qualify for extended warranty coverage.
Select Bundled Products: applies to purchases and qualified installation of a minimum of a pump and filter, and one or more of the following: heaters, heat pumps, control systems, automatic cleaners, lighting, salt chlorine generators or UV sterilizer**
*Note: Qualified Installer - Defined as a licensed professional who charges a fee for his services, and possesses a business license, contractor's license and/or resale permit. Common examples of a "qualified installer" include: Swimming Pool, Home Repair or Landscape Professional; Plumber or Electrician; General Contractor; Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist.
**Note: Bundled products - must be purchased on the same invoice and installed at the same time. If any product within a bundle is ineligible for the bundled warranty coverage then all products within the same bundle will be disqualified from receiving the three (3) year extended warranty coverage for bundled products.
TradeGrade products must be purchased from a retail store (brick & mortar), pool builder or pool service company to receive a one-year, two-year or three-year warranty. If purchased online will only receive a sixty-day limited warranty. View the list of TradeGrade Products.
Ecommerce (EC) products: Products purchased from an Authorized Pentair Online Reseller (products beginning with EC-) receive a one (1) year (parts only) warranty from the date of purchase.
