Phenomenal Service, Availability and Price.
I ordered a Pentair Amerlite - 300w, 12v, 15 cord Pool light #78431100 online on a Friday morning and received it Saturday, the next day. What astounded me was that Pool Supply Unlimited is located in California and I live in Florida. Pool Supply Unlimited's supply chain is phenomenal. This model light is not that easy to find, but they had it available in stock. To top it all off, their price was about 30% lower than anyone else and delivery time from anyone else was a week to ten days.
I am totally 100% satisfied. Great job. I definitely would recommend Pool Supply Unlimited to anyone.

quality light at great price
I ordered 2 lights and extra blue lenses. One fixture arrived with broken bulb inside and I called customer service. They asked for a picture of the broken bulb and asked if the rest of order was ok I said yes...4 days later new bulb arrived at no cost. I Bookmarked and shared them with my contacts.

Perfect for the money!
Very well constructed! Very bright! 12V so I can relax and not worry about someone getting electrocuted with 120V in my water. And I didn't spend a ton of money on an LED light.

Does this light work with 10v, 16v and 19v? Or have to be exactly 12v

BEST ANSWER: The filament is rated for 12V. There are heat considerations to prevent the filament from melting . The housing must be submerged to dissipate heat or the filament will fail. Increasing voltage will increase heat, but the temperature disbursement surface area remains constant . 10V DC would give a 16% reduction in illumination, but will not harm the filiment

I had this light installed professionally 2 years ago for my in ground pool.
Just recently the light quit working, so I shut off all power sources and brought the light housing up and out of the pool. I bought the exact same 300 watt bulb and after installing the bulb and reconnecting the power it blew. There was a disc inside the light housing which resembled a buss or fuse and its blown. What could I have done wrong? Please advise and thank you.
If it means totally replacing the entire light and housing I may opt for an LED light instead.

BEST ANSWER: There is a transformer on the side of your house probably where the switch for the light is.converts 110 ac to 12 volt DC .your pool bulb is 300w 12volt Dc if the transformer is bad ,that could be the problem.

Does this work with a Hayward Transformer and niche?

BEST ANSWER: Most transformers have different voltage selections to match what you are connecting such as pool light or lower voltage access lighting.usually 12, 13 or 14 volt. Brand name usually doesnt matter. Match the output voltage.

I have an old (1980 vintage) Amerlite pool light which works fine with an LED bulb and no leaks. I would like to get a new stainless steel face ring for cosmetic reasons
, but the old model has 8 screw-down tab clamps holding the housing and the face plate together. The new ones I can find have a "universal clamp." Will the new face plate with universal clamp work with the old housing?

BEST ANSWER: Slim maybe. But that light is obsolete and sooner or later you WILL change it out. Just do it now and get a color changing fixture. Its worth the little e extra cost.

While the majority of Pentair products are covered by a sixty- (60) day warranty, a select number of products qualify for extended warranty coverage.
Select Bundled Products: applies to purchases and qualified installation of a minimum of a pump and filter, and one or more of the following: heaters, heat pumps, control systems, automatic cleaners, lighting, salt chlorine generators or UV sterilizer**
*Note: Qualified Installer - Defined as a licensed professional who charges a fee for his services, and possesses a business license, contractor's license and/or resale permit. Common examples of a "qualified installer" include: Swimming Pool, Home Repair or Landscape Professional; Plumber or Electrician; General Contractor; Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist.
**Note: Bundled products - must be purchased on the same invoice and installed at the same time. If any product within a bundle is ineligible for the bundled warranty coverage then all products within the same bundle will be disqualified from receiving the three (3) year extended warranty coverage for bundled products.
TradeGrade products must be purchased from a retail store (brick & mortar), pool builder or pool service company to receive a one-year, two-year or three-year warranty. If purchased online will only receive a sixty-day limited warranty. View the list of TradeGrade Products.
Ecommerce (EC) products: Products purchased from an Authorized Pentair Online Reseller (products beginning with EC-) receive a one (1) year (parts only) warranty from the date of purchase. The exceptions are: IntelliChlor cells and IntelliFlo SVRS pumps which receive a two (2) year warranty. EC products are not eligible for the bundled three (3) year extended warranty.
