The CompuPool GRC/AP/CC-15 is the generic replacement for the AutoPilot CC15-FF PPC5 commercial salt cell. Like the CC15-FF, the CompuPool version contains two female unions (thus the 'FF' in the original name), and is intended for use only in single-cell manifolds. CompuPool does not make a generic version of AutoPilot's CC15-MF commercial cell, which with one male and one female connection is intended for multi-cell manifolds like the Pool Pilot Professional.
Like other CompuPool generic cells, the GRC/AP/CC-15 is more
economical than its OEM counterparts, and has the same two-year limited
warranty offered by AutoPilot on the CC15-FF. CompuPool is an established name in saltwater
chlorination itself with more than 30 years in the industry.
Another advantage of CompuPool generics is their clear blue housing, which makes it easy to ensure the cell is functioning correctly. The GRC/AP/CC-15 employs the same design of the AutoPilot original, with 15 blades providing a steady supply of pure chlorine. It’s also easy to clean as needed with a solution of water and muriatic acid.
OEM and generic AutoPilot replacement cells also both benefit from the unique manifold design of Pool Pilot systems, which include a strainer to keep debris out of the cell and a tri-sensor to determine if water flow, salt levels and water temperature are sufficient for chlorine generation. Thus, the GRC/AP/CC-15 provides lasting, reliable chlorine production at less cost than the AutoPilot original cell with the same warranty protection.
The cell can chlorinate pools up to 80,000 gallons when installed in AutoPilot’s Pool Pilot Soft Touch, Pool Pilot Digital and Pool Pilot Total Control salt systems, all with the single-cell manifold design perfect for the GRC/AP/CC-15.
We offer CompuPool generic cells to give our customers a more economical alternative to original equipment, but also because we have had positive experiences with these models and CompuPool consistently rates well in independent customer surveys. We endorse both manufacturers and their products and only hope to help you make an informed decision when comparing them. Please feel free to contact us with any saltwater chlorination questions you may have.
