The CompuPool CPSC08 replacement salt cell electrode is for use with the CPSC08 chlorination system. The unit housing, unions and O-rings are not included with the cell, and we always recommend adding a new cord (see Items We Suggest) when replacing the cell or electrode.
The CPSC08 electrode uses two titanium blades to produce nearly half a pound of chlorine per day for spas and small residential pools up to 5,000 gallons. The level of salinity can be easily maintained at the power center, making for a pleasing swimming experience as smooth, silky water provides a welcome contrast to the often overly chlorinated, irritating pool and spa water of years past. Periodic cleaning of the electrode can also be performed with a simple mixture of water and muriatic acid.
CompuPool makes it possible to save by ordering just this replacement electrode for the CPSC08 without the blue housing if the existing housing is intact. It is possible, however, to order the full CPSC08 cell, housing included, by clicking the link above.
CPSC cells, electrode-only models and full systems are popular for a number of other reasons as well:
CompuPool has discontinued production of its CPSC line of complete salt systems, including the CPSC08, in favor of the newer CPX models. However, it still manufactures replacement cells and electrodes compatible with both systems and we’re happy to offer them. CompuPool has been a leader in saltwater chlorination for more than three decades and we’ve received consistently high reviews from customers regarding those systems as well as replacement cells.
