SuperPro Flow Switch for Hayward Goldline Salt Generator Systems | Q12DS1.56MNO3A
The flow switch is a safety device that ensures that water is flowing through the cell before the salt system will generate chlorine. Failure to properly install the flow switch can result in explosive gases accumulating in the pool plumbing system. The flow switch should be located in a PVC T and the arrow needs to be pointed the same direction as the water flow. Best location for the flow switch is on the return line going back to the pool, if you have a pool & spa system the flow switch T should be located in the line where water goes back to the pool, not the spa. Running the salt generator while in spa mode can quickly produce chlorine levels much higher than we would consider safe and can damage your pool equipment.
