I was very pleased with the representative that helped me, he was very knowledgeable, with pool equipment, I sent him the information about my Pool, the Dimensions and photos of the pool and old pump, and he helped me choose the best pump that will work for my pool, and made sure that it came with the parts (unions) that I will need to install it, and also received the pump in two day shipping and shipping was free, I Highly recommend Pool Supply Unlimited. Ideal retrofit for the existing 3450 rpm single speed motor that was replaced. Very quite and efficient.

A super pump. The price is right. Not super loud. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is because it isn't that easy to program. It took me 3 days. I'm not a tech. savy person, But the pool guy said he could have done it for me in minutes. Otherwise a 5 star.

I think this is the only Variable Speed Pump on the market for under $500. I live in SoCal so Edison offers a $200 utility rebate for this pump. This pump is similar to the smaller Pentair VS pump and is perfect for my 1.5in plumbing. Was able to get it next day after my order was placed.

This was a perfect replacement for my old pump. The performance is great and it wasn't difficult at all to program.

Like all reviews they come much too soon after delivery. one needs at leat 63 to 6 months to review. or even longer. most pumps I have used the motors failed within 3 to 5 years. So I have to wait at least 3 years to evaluate this one. Aside from the review being too soon I find it a bit tricky to set up. quite frankly I think a 1.5 hp Vs drive needs a better pump as the last one I had had a 1;/2 hp attached to a multi stage (?) pump and it did just as well as a 1.5 hp as far as pressure, In all cases regardless off pump, or hp of 1/2 or 1.5 I cannot use the skimmer while I use the automatic bottom cleaner while the bottom sucktion is on nor can I skim and clean the botttom if I turn off the deep end pool suction intake . ( there may be laws that prohibit such but I can skim by adjusting my valves by hand, or I can clean the bottom by readjusting my flow valves by hand but I cannot do both ( and of course I must also allow the deep end to allow flow so start up gets enough water as fast as possible and not ruin the pump .. So far it has been tricky to set up. The setting which allows the bottom cleaner to sweep the bottom of the pool does not allow the skimmer to suck down any survice things like bugs etc and to do so requires a different and higher setting ( as well as a manual valve control allowing one or the other. . So far it is experimental but in short in order to skim or clean the bottom the unit must run in the higher ranges as little gets done in the lower ranges. thus I do not know if I will realize any power savings due to the fst accelleration rates that cannot be controlled by your units. A typical across the line initial start is 300% current , so it would be inyeresting to know what the starting current is for each step ( I imagine that it is small if step 1 is lower than step 2 and step 30 . It also sounds like the units immediatly go to the presets of step 1 step 2 or step 3, . It would be nice if these were true variable speed pumps that start at zero speed ( after the initial start up to get rid of any air before step 1 and allowed a change from zero speed, pr set speed down to another speed ( acceleration and deceleration times, to the full speed set by each step ) I worked for 2 companies that made zero to full speed controllers for small Hp and larger Hp ac motors) so variable speed with variable accel and decel controllers have existed for decades. Anyway ,that is my ecaluation after only using it for 2 days as I cannot give a better evaluation in such short time. ask me again in 3 to 5 years,
