Offers all the fun of its big brother, the TurboTwister, yet in a smaller package for more limited deck space!
The Typhoon slide is modeled after SR Smith's popular TurboTwister, but built with slightly smaller pools in mind. This full-sized addition to the rotomolded slide line (heliX, TurboTwister and Cyclone) stands 7'4" tall to the top of the handrails and uses the same GrandRapids high-volume water delivery system with a flume nearly 10 feet long. The Typhoon is available in Sandstone and Gray Granite designer colors to fit in seamlessly with your backyard decor.
Installation instructions for the Typhoon are provided on this page in the Product Resource Center. Its 25 gpm water delivery system can be plumbed through the pool's return line or connected to any garden hose.
This swimming pool slide was designed by SR Smith for fun and safety with an enclosed ladder and molded handrails.

GREAT SLIDE
This is a great slide that is safe for small kids to go up and down on. The only trouble we had was putting it together takes a few people and MUST follow directions or wont go together correctly. But its a solid slide!

Love love love this slide!!! It's sturdy enough for a big 6 foot 300 pound guy like me, and everyone that comes over for pool parties can't get enough of it. Best purchase I've made for the backyard BY FAR!

Very sturdy!

Very satisfied overall!!
Initial setup was easy, by myself, drilling holes in concrete for placement that took two days didn't have proper tools; all in all very satisfied with purchase, delivery, quality, my boys and wife love it just used it this weekend works great!!

great slide and fun for all ages !
great slide and fun for all the slide is fast and fun ! we were cautious during the assembly but all went fine. all we needed was the drill otherwise the bolts were super easy to use and install...now all we have to do is figure out how to join the piping to our pool return water...otherwise we look forward to having the pool slide making a lovely waterfall sound during out evening glass of wine.

Very nice slide
Assembly a bit difficult, personally could not have gotten it assembled without multiple bar clamps. After getting all bolts threaded it all pulled together nicely. The 2 anchor bolts on the pool slide of the ladder should be hammered down prior to placing slide in position. The other 6 are accessible and simple. All in all appears to be a quality product that we hope to enjoy a long long time!

No regrets
I've put off this purchase for a couple of years now due to the price of slides. I finally "bit the bullet" and have no regrets. We have a diving board but this slide completed the pool experience. I was mostly surprised by how much adults enjoy the slide. It's tall enough to be a little intimidating. Without that, it would be boring. Four stars due to price. But, if you want one, waiting to save a couple hundred dollars later is not worth it. Stacy

Depends how you mount it and how wide your deck is, I did it on mine more of a bean shaped pool have a little wiggle room for the bottom of slide and edge of pool deck

I believe it really depends on how much surrounding concrete you have around your pool. If you can meet the minimum requirements it should work.

can i mount this to my wood deck of above ground pool?

BEST ANSWER: It probably isn't recommended by manufacturer but, I would say its doable. You would probably need to add floor joist under the deck to mount to, I would not mount to just the deck boards. What ever you mount to would need to support 6-700 pounds.

I purchased the typhoon right curve slide this spring and mounted it to a wooden deck, I purchased 1/2 “ lag screws 5 inches long to anchor it and I added 2x4 bracing under the deck that I screwed the lag bolts into

As long as the deck is stable to hold the slide then yes. The slide comes with anchor bolts for concrete. I would suggest using carriage bolts to securely mount the slide.

I mounted this slide to my Trex wood deck. I just had reinforcements put in underneath between the cross beams. It has worked out well.

Yes you could mount to wood deck. You could use lag bolts or drill all the way through wood deck and use long 3/8" bolts

How do you pump the water up the slide?

BEST ANSWER: My pool pump setup has a regular hose attachment for accessories like this, so I just ran a hose from the pump area to the slide. It's awesome, cause I can recycle water from the pool down the slide OR recycle it from the jacuzzi, which gives you warm water on the slide!!

I tied into pool pump with 1 1/2 pvc pipe. Ball valve is installed on back side of stairs on slide. So when not in use turn ball valve off. You can also hook up to garden hose, fittings included in purchase of slide

You can hook it to the pump of the pool. Buy fittings and run hard pipe to slide hose that comes with slide then connect to filter. Or use the garden hose, but that adds cold water constantly.

Absolutely it needs to be anchored. Plus you will need to run a pipe to feed the slide water. You need to pick the location prior to concrete being poured. Once it is installed there is no moving it.

the slide is fast and high...if you want to try it around different areas of the pool deck, then I advise to have two adults hold both sides during the trial slide period.

It depends on the size of the person sliding down it. I have a 10 foot deep pool, and I can touch the bottom with my feet when I come off the slide, but I weigh 300 pounds. If you only have kids go down it, or adults less than 200 pounds, I would say 6 or 7 feet deep is probably fine...

S.R.Smith, LLC warrants to the original retail purchaser that products manufactured by S.R.Smith, when properly assembled and installed in accordance with S.R.Smith's assembly and installation instructions, and properly used and maintained, shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period of three (3) years from the date of retail purchase except for the following items set forth below:
- Game Accessories (ball, pump, net): Ninety Days
- WetDek: One Year
- Resin Transfer Molded (RTM) Slides, Seats, Loungers, and Tables: One Year
- Aquatic Lift System Frames (excluding the powder coated finish, which may become scratched with normal use): Five Years
- Aquatic Lift System Electronic and Motor Components (excluding batteries): Two Years
- Aquatic Lift batteries: One year prorated as follows: 100% of cost during the first ninety days of ownership and 50 percent of cost after ninety days and prior to expiration of one-year period. Assembly a bit difficult, personally could not have gotten it assembled without multiple bar clamps. After getting all bolts threaded it all pulled together nicely. The 2 anchor bolts on the pool slide of the ladder should be hammered down prior to placing slide in position. The other 6 are accessible and simple. All in all appears to be a quality product that we hope to enjoy a long long time!

No regrets
I've put off this purchase for a couple of years now due to the price of slides. I finally "bit the bullet" and have no regrets. We have a diving board but this slide completed the pool experience. I was mostly surprised by how much adults enjoy the slide. It's tall enough to be a little intimidating. Without that, it would be boring. Four stars due to price. But, if you want one, waiting to save a couple hundred dollars later is not worth it. Stacy

Depends how you mount it and how wide your deck is, I did it on mine more of a bean shaped pool have a little wiggle room for the bottom of slide and edge of pool deck

I believe it really depends on how much surrounding concrete you have around your pool. If you can meet the minimum requirements it should work.

can i mount this to my wood deck of above ground pool?

BEST ANSWER: It probably isn't recommended by manufacturer but, I would say its doable. You would probably need to add floor joist under the deck to mount to, I would not mount to just the deck boards. What ever you mount to would need to support 6-700 pounds.

I purchased the typhoon right curve slide this spring and mounted it to a wooden deck, I purchased 1/2 “ lag screws 5 inches long to anchor it and I added 2x4 bracing under the deck that I screwed the lag bolts into

As long as the deck is stable to hold the slide then yes. The slide comes with anchor bolts for concrete. I would suggest using carriage bolts to securely mount the slide.

Yes you could mount to wood deck. You could use lag bolts or drill all the way through wood deck and use long 3/8" bolts

How do you pump the water up the slide?

BEST ANSWER: My pool pump setup has a regular hose attachment for accessories like this, so I just ran a hose from the pump area to the slide. It's awesome, cause I can recycle water from the pool down the slide OR recycle it from the jacuzzi, which gives you warm water on the slide!!

I tied into pool pump with 1 1/2 pvc pipe. Ball valve is installed on back side of stairs on slide. So when not in use turn ball valve off. You can also hook up to garden hose, fittings included in purchase of slide

You can hook it to the pump of the pool. Buy fittings and run hard pipe to slide hose that comes with slide then connect to filter. Or use the garden hose, but that adds cold water constantly.

Absolutely it needs to be anchored. Plus you will need to run a pipe to feed the slide water. You need to pick the location prior to concrete being poured. Once it is installed there is no moving it.

It depends on the size of the person sliding down it. I have a 10 foot deep pool, and I can touch the bottom with my feet when I come off the slide, but I weigh 300 pounds. If you only have kids go down it, or adults less than 200 pounds, I would say 6 or 7 feet deep is probably fine...
