My Dad was a very frugal man. Another word is cheap. Dude was a serious cheap ass. He did whatever he could to save a buck with DIY (Do it Yourself) projects. That included a Saturday afternoon spent with his 15 year old son putting together a sheet metal storage shed. It took a swear jar full of expletives and some extra sheet metal screws, but we got that son-of-a-bitch together. He passed too soon at 62 years old, but not before paying off the house and leaving Mom a solid retirement nest egg that allowed her the freedom of early retirement.
