AquaChek Iron measures Total Iron, which includes ferric (Fe3+) as well as ferrous (Fe2+) forms. Some companies sell test strips that measure only the ferrous form of iron, whereas ferric iron is actually more common in pool and spa water.
Iron may be present in the source water that feeds a pool or spa. In many regions, high levels of Total Iron can present a persistent problem. In addition, corrosion of iron pipes can cause staining of pool or spa walls and fixtures.
25 strips per bottle.
