Find A New Shiper FEDX sucks!!!
Don't know how to rate this one!!! Pump works great as do all Berkeley pumps! Glad I still had the old one to rob the parts off of to replace all the broke and bent pieces that FEDX messed up!!! This is not Pool Supply's or Berkeley's fault! I get tired of every time I get a FEDX shipment it is fkd up! I know all you have to do is file a damage report... bla, bla, bla. But when a customer who spends the kind of money on their yard that mine do and they need water I just don't have time to wait another 4 or 5 days and take the chance on it being jacked up also.

Great pressure pump for the price!
We purchased this pump to replace with same as existing. We have a private well for five homes and this supplies our water pressure. Works well and you are able to order any repair parts separately. You had a good price and it shipped fast. Thank you! Will shop again.

Replacement works like a champ!
Replaced a 10 year old pump of same model & it's been running great! Live on a lake & draw water from it for lawn irrigation. Easy installation. Also added a new Wi-Fi controller. We didnt know our system could work this good!

Once the system was primed, it has been trouble free and pressure is excellent.

is this pump ok to be used for an irrigation pump drawing from a 3000 gal. tank?

BEST ANSWER: I use this pump to pull from a lake to irrigate my property. I'm sure it would draw from a tank. However, this pump pushes a lot of water. At it's best, it will draw 55 gal/min. The 3000 gal tank will be dry in 60 mins. Given that limitation, I can recommend this pump as very reliable and capable (having used one for 12 years).

We use ours with our well. We supply five homes with water through 1-1/2" pipes and maintain pressure at 55 psi. Works great for us. Also like that you can order any repair parts separately.

My pump is used for the irrigation system. It has been working great and then it stopped working. The psi is supposed to be 30 but it reads about 12-15. Can this be fixed rather than replaced?

BEST ANSWER: Check your intake piping to see if plugging is occurring. If not, you might be able check for leaks on your intake. You may be sucking air. Otherwise you could have it checked out in a pump repair shop, and get an estimate first. This could save you. Check your electrical input also.

We usually get 3-4 yrs out of our pump, which works at a 50’ elevation from the lake at 12 hrs/day. Instead of replacing it, a pump shop can rebuild it for $200 plus acrebuilt pump has same guarantee as new one. We have 2 pumps, one as backup.

How to winterize?

BEST ANSWER: Disconnect your intake pipe. Blow out your pump and irrigation system by using an air compressor piped into your pump. Run until all water is forced out by the air. Cover your intake line at the coupling, (bag the end of the coupling with a ziplock bag and then tape around it to keep the elements out during the winter), and you should be good to go. I have done this for 15 years without issue.

Why is the brand name "Pentair" rather than Berkeley?

BEST ANSWER: The pump is actually manufactured by Pentair just like Sta Rite is as well. So it is the same pump as Berkeley but with a different label.
