Easy Care Pooltec Summer Algaecide, Clarifier, and Chlorine Booster 64 oz | 30064
$40.95
Pooltec Water Treatment is a multi-task product that kills/ prevents all types of algae growth, ultra clarifies water, and is super chlorine booster for both chlorine and salt pools. Used weekly, Pooltec synergizes with all types of chlorine to boost water quality and chlorine effectiveness. It helps increase chlorine residuals in salt pools especially during heavy use periods. Pooltec also keeps pool water consistently treated, eliminating cleanup products such as lgaecides and clarifiers. Overall, Pooltec provides for easier pool maintenance and reduces chlorine use from 30% to 65%.
How it Works
Pooltec's enviro-safe polymers uniquely synergize with all types of sanitizers to provide superior water quality, greater clarity, and improve water sanitation. Unique cationic polymeric compounds function as a broad spectrum, non oxiding algaecide-microbicide that kill and control the growth of microorganisms by disturbing their normal metabolic process of the living cell. This process achieves a super sanitized condition with average oxidizer levels.

BEST ANSWER:yes, it is better to get the algae off the walls.poolTeC will stop algae from growing but it will not remove it off the walls. What happens the algae will turn a brownish or a tan color And still be there. Takes a little work. Good luck.

BEST ANSWER:This is a very good product for pool maintenance, however if you're having a hard time keeping chlorine in the pool you should first have your conditioner level tested (cyanuric acid). This reading should be a minimum of 50 PPM, maximum of 100 PPM. Conditioner acts as a sunscreen for the chlorine and keeps the sun from burning off your chlorine. I'd start there first.

Aside from the price I had good luck using this product for quite some time. The trick is to keep your chlorine level high and insure your filter is maintained...
