Fiber Clear is an environmentally-safe alternative to Diatomaceous Earth for use in D.E. pool filters. Made from hardwood cellulose fiber, It's much more efficient than D.E., provides superior water clarity and, most importantly, its use entails none of the respiratory health risks associated with D.E.

I have a de60 and it require 2lbs of d.e. My question is how many cups ( cup that come with) do I need to add of the fiber clear. Please help because I do not understand the pool language on the bag?

BEST ANSWER: With what you purchased the 3lb bag, they recommend 8 cups. The cup should have been inside the bag if not u can only use a 16oz cup for substitute . This described above is for fiber clear, if you use regular de, you need to add 6 pounds not 2.

i have this filter on my fish pond -would it be safe to add the powder into the filter or do you think it will harm the fish?

BEST ANSWER: Not at all.. From what I understand it is completely harmless and biodegradable. I even once watched a demo with the manufacturer of Fiber Clear where he personally ate a spoonful of it.
