cartridges. Available in both a pleated and disposable version these filters reduce total dissolved solids (TDS) from your water and increase the quality of your pool or spa water. Our pre-filter is 90% efficient and removes the following contaminants; dirt, sediment, rust, calcium, iron and copper.

When and How to Clean your Filter Cartridge

WHEN: When the pressure gauge on your filter tank reaches 8 p.s.i. above the pressure recorded when a new cartridge is installed, or when there is a noticeable decrease in the pressure coming from your return jets, it is time to clean your cartridge.

Turn the power off to your pump and bleed the excess air pressure of the system using the air valve on the filter. Remove any band clamps and/or lids to your filter. Remove the cartridge from the filter canister and dislodge any loose debris by directing a stream of water from a garden hose between each pleat. Do not use a high pressure car wash wand or a stiff brush to clean your cartridge. These abrasive methods may damage the filter media and snap the bands.
Spray Pure ’n Clean™ filter cleaner on the cartridge or grid to remove any oils or other organics. If stubborn stains persist, soak the cartridge overnight in a solution of TSP.
Rinse the cartridge thoroughly with clean fresh water and return it to the filter tank. Secure the tank lid and any band clamps completely and restart your filtration system per manufacturers instructions.

Caution

Follow your filter equipment manufacturer’s instructions when removing or re-installing your filter cartridge.
Always shut down your system before working on your cartridges.
We recommend against acid washing filter or using a pressure washer to clean the media.
