NEW! Solar Color-Changing Globe Chlorinator
The only Pool and Spa Chlorinator that use energy from the sun to light up at night. A functional globe by day; by night, it adds to the ambiance of your pool as it glows in a variety of colors
Very mad and disappointed! Does not light up.i had a previous one and it worked for a couple years then started filling up with water and mold. Thats why I bought another. I read reviews after and saw people said theirs wouldnt light up either. One guy replaced solar battery to make it work. But you have to rip it apart to do it. I guess Ill try that next.
BEST ANSWER:The globe is solar powered. The sun recharges the battery during the day. All you do is put in chlorine tablets. When you first get the globe it may take a couple of days to fully charge, and if you have some dark rainy days it may not fully charge. Be careful not to bash it around while adding chlorine tablets as you may damage the internal wiring.

Have had this product for about a year and now it stopped lighting up. Is there a battery?

BEST ANSWER:We have had a succession of these, as we like them a lot, but they inevitably stop working. Not sure why except that the wiring inside may not be robust. They also don't like heavy rain, not a problem of recent months, but it has happened. Our most recent model has just quit. The amount of time it takes for one to quit varies, but there is no battery - it is solar powered. Consider them a short term toy.

It is solar powered and we never found where there was a battery compartment. Our 1st one was good to go for a couple of years before it stopped lighting up
