Simple set up
Upgraded to this current device. Set up with current panel is easier than programing a garage door opener. This simple set took less than 60 seconds. Rechargeable battery life lasts several days. Highly recommended to replace original remote unit. A bit pricey but quality appears to be above standard.

Good bye old aqua pod
Excellent! Replacement for old aqua pod that had sticky keys and dark screen! Now I can see the screen even at night and it was super easy to install!

Can I connect my iPhone to wireless remote or pool?

BEST ANSWER: This is a no brainer if the company had any concern about customer satisfaction . The old remotes die due to battery life and the only choice is to purchase a new remote. Expensive and not very customer friendly. Makes it difficult if considering a new system. Screwed once but not again!

The Hayward phone app is horrible. I have it on my phone it is slow and very frustrating to use. I'm looking to add the AquaPod. The tech tells me you can have both connected at the same time.

The penaire that came with our home is too complicated for me. I need a savvy 8 year old to figure it out. Thinking of changing over. Thoughts?

BEST ANSWER: Oh god, whatever you do don’t switch to Hayward. Stay with Pentaire is way better and user friendly. You probably just have an old panel. The new stuff integrates with an app on your phone and couldn’t be easier to use. Hayward is the opposite. Nobody in my family can operate that thing but me.

I have a hayward sytem. The remote is brighter, easy to use, easy to learn the remote, At the time the price from Pool Supply was the least expensive. Had th eremote for two years. Best thing I upgraded on the pool and hot tub. '

This is for a Hayward and I doubt it works with Pentair. I believe you’d need to convert the system over which could cost thousands.

My controller says water solenoid open what does that mean ?

BEST ANSWER: I not sure but sounds like something that is connecting to the main box. I had something similar and it was the connection from either the chlorinate or temp wires were connect wrong I the box

Can the batteries be replaced?

BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure about this model, but I have the older AQL2 remote and the lack of replaceable batteries is a real concern. I have had 2 of the AQL2s and the batteries on both failed within 2 years. Since it appears the batteries cannot be replaced on this unit I would avoid it.

I have a spa in the middle of my pool, so I like the AquaPod since it is waterproof. I can take it out with me next to the spa. use it to turn on the jets, blowers, lights, change tempetures ext... I keep it just inside the house when not swimming to keep tabs on the pool.
