The light now works as it should and hopefully will continue. Time will tell.
Replaced my 15 yr old Pentair light with the J&J pool light. First off the light was an easy install and after I wired the replacement light to the junction box I couldn't get the light to work. I checked the connections and finally did a continuity check on the J&J light and low and behold the problem was the light. I had to take the J&J light apart and found that the light bulb wasn't screwed in the socket all the way and was only slightly in the socket. Well that fixed the problem but, I had to break the original seal and now hope that it will not leak. So good so far.

Very happy about the pool light.
Even though it took awhile to receive my pool light, it was worth the wait. It was installed and it works perfectly. My grandkids love to swim at night now.

Do I need a transformer for the 120v 500w?

BEST ANSWER: This light is for normal 110 voltage. Transformers are usually used for a 12 volt system.

The light now works as it should and hopefully will continue. Time will tell.
Replaced my 15 yr old Pentair light with the J&J pool light. First off the light was an easy install and after I wired the replacement light to the junction box I couldn't get the light to work. I checked the connections and finally did a continuity check on the J&J light and low and behold the problem was the light.
