Designed using FROG’s No-Touch delivery system, the minerals in our Pool Frog Model 5400 continually work hard to control bacteria and keep the pH neutral so your pool water stays clean and clear for weeks. With no daily dosing or heavy chlorine odors, the complete Pool Frog Fresh Mineral Water pool system can allow you to cut chlorine use by up to 50%* compared to standard water treatment programs.

There are three parts for all POOL FROG® Mineral Systems - the Cycler, Mineral Reservoir and the pre-filled chlorine Bac Pac.

The POOL FROG® Cycler acts as the "water treatment center" and controls the flow of water through the system. No extra plumbing. No electricity. No extra headaches!

The POOL FROG® Mineral Reservoir, which contains our EPA registered mineral formula and fits inside the Cycler. The minerals continually replenish themselves for added protection against bacteria, as well as keeping your pool's pH balanced by acting as a neutralizer. One Mineral Reservoir will last the full season or up to 6 months; use two reservoirs for year-round pools.

The pre-filled chlorine Bac Pac is then inserted into the Mineral Reservoir dispensing low levels of chlorine for 1-3 weeks. The complete POOL FROG® System allows you to cut chlorine use by up to 50%* over standard water treatment programs.
The patented Control Dial on the front of the Cycler lets you manage the amount of water flowing through the system. Water is circulated upward into the Mineral Reservoir and chlorine Bac Pac simultaneously. The erosion design of this system continuously dispenses chlorine at a precise low level (only 0.5 is needed). Once you've determined the correct setting for your pool just set it, then forget it for weeks at a time!

How It Works

The FROG Fresh Mineral Water pool system utilizes a patented combination of sanitizing minerals along with a LOW level of chlorine to destroy bacteria. All components are introduced into the water via the Cycler that is installed after the pump and filter. The Mineral Reservoir contains our patented combination of minerals designed to protect your pool water against bacteria as well as help keep your pool’s pH balanced. One Mineral Reservoir will last an entire season or up to 6 months. For year round pools, simply use 2 reservoirs. The chlorine Bac Pac is dialed into your pools exact needs, dispensing low levels of chlorine and typically lasts anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Probably over-sized for a 23,5000 gallon inground pool

Our experience is that the flow regulator has to be set so low for our size pool that we have chlorine levels over 5ppm and as high as 15ppm much of the season. Tough on liners and equipment..

pipe size 1 1/2 inch?

BEST ANSWER: The inlet size is actually 2", for pools up-to 45,000 gallon. Mine has a glued in reducer bushing to 1- 1/2". As the second owner of my current home built in 2003 that came with a 23,500 gallon in ground pool, I have replaced the King Technology 5400 twice, once in approximately 2012 after a terrible out of control algae bloom and way too much chlorine dumped in by a maintenance company we fired , and again last fall to be installed this year at opening.
