Triton® II Side Mount Filters with ClearPro technology, remove particles up to five times smaller than traditional sand filters, well below what your eye can detect for water that truly sparkles with clarity. Why did i wait so long?

After 15 yrs of DE system i changed over to sand. I can't believe i waited so long. I guess i was hung up on the micro filteration claims of the DE system. I was worried i wouldn't have crystal clear water. Well, no need for worries. The Triton II TR has my water crystal clear-even at night with pool lights. I do not see the small particles some people suggested i would with sand filter. This pentair is so easy to use. Really not much to do. Just a backwash every couple weeks and that's it. No more hard backwash for DE filter system, no more complete disassembly to remove each individual DE filter, then the cleaning of the de filters to remove the caked on DE powder, reassembly, reapply of DE powder, etc. I'm still kicking myself for not going to this Pentair Triton II TR sooner.

Recommended filter

Great filter, it arrived on time and well protected. The installation of the unit was pretty straightforward, had a professional do the job but I saw how he did it. This is the best filter for the price. Definitely recommend.

Nice filter

Nice filter. Heavier duty. Was replacing an older PentairTR100C and wanted to keep the same thing based on the quality of the original. Easy replacement.

help i clean the pool and backwash it and then continue to run the pool and a few hours later i've got dirt being kicked out into pool help ?

BEST ANSWER: I have a bit if the same issue. I extend the backwash and the rinse a little. Remember the backlash really fluffs up that sand and the rinse settles it back in place. You just might get a little "channeling " of the sand and that's when the dirt can bypass the sand and end up into the pool.

Are You going through the "rinse" after backwashing? I haven't noticed this happening. I wouldn't know why you are experiencing dirt being kicked out hours later. Very unusual. Very strange.

And now Pentair products can deliver even more value and peace of mind, because Pentair offers extended warranty coverage on select products that are installed by a qualified installer*.

While the majority of Pentair products are covered by a sixty- (60) day warranty, a select number of products qualify for extended warranty coverage.

Select Bundled Products: applies to purchases and qualified installation of a minimum of a pump and filter, and one or more of the following: heaters, heat pumps, control systems, automatic cleaners, lighting, salt chlorine generators or UV sterilizer**

*Note: Qualified Installer - Defined as a licensed professional who charges a fee for his services, and possesses a business license, contractor's license and/or resale permit. Common examples of a "qualified installer" include: Swimming Pool, Home Repair or Landscape Professional; Plumber or Electrician; General Contractor; Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist.

**Note: Bundled products - must be purchased on the same invoice and installed at the same time. If any product within a bundle is ineligible for the bundled warranty coverage then all products within the same bundle will be disqualified from receiving the three (3) year extended warranty coverage for bundled products.

TradeGrade products must be purchased from a retail store (brick & mortar), pool builder or pool service company to receive a one-year, two-year or three-year warranty. If purchased online will only receive a sixty-day limited warranty. View the list of TradeGrade Products.

Ecommerce (EC) products: Products purchased from an Authorized Pentair Online Reseller (products beginning with EC-) receive a one (1) year (parts only) warranty from the date of purchase.
