Motor stop and start . Do I have to replace the motor?

The answer to that question is yes. The starting and stopping is a symptom of the motor needing to be replaced. At least that was the case for my motor. So I ordered my motor and had it on hand to replace the old motor.

Possibly, however before you run out and purchase a motor, check the electrical connections. Make sure they are secure then have the breaker checked. If the motor still starts and stops have it checked for internal shorts.
