Designer Series Rail - Stair Rail
The patent pending Designer Series Stair Rail replaces the traditional deck to deck D3D50 Stair Rail (see overlay below). This stair rail comes standard in 1.90” x .065" wall 304 stainless steel and can be upgraded in 6 elegant powder coat colors and 3 Thermo Plastic Coated (TPC) colors to match any backyard décor. For salt pools ... a Marine Grade 316 L stainless steel option is also available. Designer Rails are configured to fit anchor sockets of Traditional rails.
Form Follow Functions... The Designer Rail design follows the function of the traditional rail. Modeled after the traditional 50" span 3-bend deck to deck stair rail. *Photo below shows optional stainless steel escutcheons

Good quality.90% finished
Nice quality and good welding job.. Not happy with end cap plugs. Looks like a quick fix or unfinished. Thought it would have welded end caps as a high end rail is what I was expecting.

Modern Lines
A handrail for pool steps was a must! Its incredible how much confidence you gain just by having a handrail. I had a knee injury 3 years ago and for over a year I couldnt go up and down stairs unless I had a handrail. So with new pool A handrail was a necessity! But I really wanted something that was a little more modern looking. This handrail is sleek and stylish as well as sturdy and serviceable. Easily installed by hubby. Get compliments all the time on unique shape. I live in WV. Handle hasnt been excessively hot, it is easy to use, nobody has hit their head or poked out an eye, and its so good looking!!!

BEST ANSWER: This actually replaces a pool railing and makes the pools look more attractive and contemporary. I bought one for the stairs going into the pool as well as one for my spa. I love the look!!!

S.R.Smith, LLC warrants to the original retail purchaser that products manufactured by S.R.Smith, when properly assembled and installed in accordance with S.R.Smith's assembly and installation instructions, and properly used and maintained, shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period of three (3) years from the date of retail purchase except for the following items set forth below:
- Game Accessories (ball, pump, net): Ninety Days
- WetDek: One Year
- Resin Transfer Molded (RTM) Slides, Seats, Loungers, and Tables: One Year
- Aquatic Lift System Frames (excluding the powder coated finish, which may become scratched with normal use): Five Years
- Aquatic Lift System Electronic and Motor Components (excluding batteries): Two Years
- Aquatic Lift batteries: One year prorated as follows: 100% of cost during the first ninety days of ownership and 50 percent of cost after ninety days and prior to expiration of one-year period. Normal maintenance and care of the unit, including charge of the battery when not in use is recommended.
