Once I was able to plug in this unit and charge it, I was impressed with the "suction power" -- it was very strong and swallowed up all of the "mesquite residue" at the bottom of my pool.

At this initial stage, I have noted that:
1. the vacuum is powerful;
2. the "debris cup" is sturdy;
3. two passes around the pool filled the "debris cup" half way with mesquite residue;
4. the unit is easy to assemble and use; and
5. I enjoy most that it's fully self-contained, and doesn't draw the debris into the pool filter.

In conclusion, I have used this unit in tandem with a "pool skimmer sock" and the obligatory 3" chlorine tablets, for the last two weeks, and my pool remains sparkling clean.

I heartily recommend this unit.

Friends of our recommended this and I have to say it's a great investment. Very easy to use and cleans our pool within minutes. Holding bag is small but it picks up anything and everything that lays in the bottom of our pool. Love the thicker bag because it picks up sand. We live in SC and have more sand then dirt. Battery holds it's charge, although we haven't used it longer then 45 Minutes, worked great . But would definitely recommend the Water Tech Pool Blaster Volt FX-8Li vacuum. Worth the money.

I highly recommend this Volt FX 8 U for getting that hard to remove very fine dirt out of one's pool. Although I purchased the sand /silt filter as an extra I use a skimmer basket fine mesh sock in this filter bag for extra fine volcanic silt and it works like a charm and is reusable. The volt definitely is a handy tool especially for around my pool stairs where the silt always seems to settle.

Purchased June 2017 to use in my inground 8ft round spa. Extremely pleased with my purchase. Powerful motor along with using the fine debris bag easily picks up any fine sand or dirt that has blown through my screen enclosure and settled in the spa. This vacuum is both easy to maneuver and easy to clean.

I bought this vacuum after power washing my pool deck. ( I have an in ground pool) A good deal of the poly sand from in between the pavers got into the pool. I was advised not to run our normal pool vacuum since the poly sand could damage the filter. After doing some research I bought the Volt. I’m happy to say it got up all the sand using the finer filter that came with it. Now, the job was very slow and tedious but it got it done. The filter in the Volt filled up quickly so we had to stop quite often to hose it out. And the battery only lasts an hour. But over all, I’m happy with it and I’ll continue to use it for quick clean ups throughout the summer.

Love it. A little hard to make sure you have the charging plug in the vacuum right. Other than that it is great.

I love this vacuum. Everything goes into a small bag, even silt. It is very easy to use and the charge lasts. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is hard to plug in the charger to the unit just right.

I just got this vacuum and have used it 2 times so far. The only issue I have is connecting the charger to the vacuum, I am certain I will get the feel of how to make the connection for the charging, that is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating. This vacuum is just what I was looking for and I hope it lives up to my expectations. So far so good.

It is a wonderful addition to our pool maintenance routine. So much easier than having to hook up to the filter pump system. Less stress knowing that we just need to make sure it charged so we can use it. Should have bought this years ago. I hope that the life expectancy goes for a long time. I am enjoying making sure the pool is clean with this vacuum.

This little vacuum works fantastic! Cleans up the bottom of my pool, especially sand and silt so easy!! My pool cleaner misses the little stuff and takes forever going around in circles. This is so much faster!

While waiting on an impeller for our pool cleaner’s pump, we purchased the Pool Blaster FX-8Li. Had it for a couple weeks now and we have our pool clean and live is good again. Was easy to assemble and charge and within a few hours after receiving, had the pool clean of leaves and debris. The vacuum works great. Absolutely recommend. When impeller becomes available, will probably supplement the cleaner with a periodic cleaning with this vacuum instead of breaking out the hose to connect to the suction of basket drain. But till then, not missing not having the pool cleaner working.

This is the second water tech pool blaster that I owed. I had one that lasted two seasons then the batteries gave out.I was unable to find a replacement battery so I went one or two seasons without a vacuum. Since I received this unit, I have been very happy with it.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It has quite a bit more suction power than the Pool Blaster Max that I owned previously. I would definitely recommend this product.

The Volt FX-8Li out preforms the Pool Blaster in every way. More powerful and has a larger debris bag. The best thing is that by purchasing from Pool Supply and not Amazon, I saved money. Also Amazon only offers the inferior Pool Baster.
