Can't go wrong with a Hayward -
Arrived on time - Very easy to install - Only took me about 4 hours - Thought I would need help but after checking around and finding everyone wanting a couple thousand to do it I just decided to give it a go myself.
Works great, keeps my 16,000 gallon pool at 90 degree's without a pool cover -

Great Product
We got it installed and it only took a few days to get the pool water up from low 60's to a comfortable 84. It is great to be able to swim in South Texas in January!

So far great (only one week)
13.000 gallon pool in Palm Springs area... Heating fine.. Using the pool everyday now... Usually would be too cold to stay in for any length of time. Heats to 88*my set temp.... ... Run 10 hours during the day..Home is Solar power...

We live in Tucson, AZ and have a 10,000 gallon pool. Is this the best Heat Pump pool heater for us?

BEST ANSWER: My Pool is about 8500 gallons. This heater has great reviews.I live in southern fl . It takes about an hour or less per degree when heater is on. The warmer the air temperature the faster it will heat. The 9500 should be good for your pool. I use a solar blanket in winter months really helps . I keep Pool at 83 to 85 cost about a dollar a day. To run. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Reasonably quiet. I cant say exactly how many decibels, but it is quieter than my AC heat pump.

BEST ANSWER: Your owner's manual should have explanations for all of the display codes. You can find the owner's manual on the resources tab of the product pages.Here are the display code meaning from this heater's owner's manual.
F3: Unit currently in defrosting cycle (the fan works but the compressor is stopped). This is normal operation when outside temperatures are cold.
LP & LP3: Shortage of refrigerant gas in the unit or faulty low pressure control. The digital display will show LP3 after 3 LP faults and shut down your pool heater. The pool pump will also be stopped for protection if the unit’s internal time clock feature is used. If LP or LP3 occurs you should call for service.
HP & HP3: Low water fl ow to the unit or faulty high pressure control. Check water flow. Backwash filter and/or heater. The unit will show HP3 after 3 HP faults. This will stop your heater for protection.

LP & LP3: Shortage of refrigerant gas in the unit or faulty low pressure control. The digital display will show LP3 after 3 LP faults and shut down your pool heater. The pool pump will also be stopped for protection if the unit’s internal time clock feature is used. If LP or LP3 occurs you should call for service.
HP & HP3: Low water fl ow to the unit or faulty high pressure control. Check water flow. Backwash filter and/or heater. The unit will show HP3 after 3 HP faults. This will stop your heater for protection.
F3: Unit currently in defrosting cycle (the fan works but the compressor is stopped). This is normal operation when outside temperatures are cold.
