simple but complicated

The menu is simple to operate once you get used to it, instructions leave some steps out, lucky I found videos to help. Easy to set up time to begin & end and speed to run at. tricky if you don't know what speed to use and how long to filter your pool.

what is the normal operating speed?

BEST ANSWER: As a variable speed pump you can set the maximum speed any where between 600 and 3400 rpms. I run at 2875 for 3 hours then 1000 for additional hours as needed based on temperature of pool. I set maximum at 3000 rpm to keep pressure down for quick cleaning. Quick cleaning runs for 1 hour.
