Coates 24kW 240V Single Phase

These pool and spa heaters feature a built-in flow switch to prevent operation when there is no water flow and allows operation at flow rates between 20 GPM and 80 GPM. An all-stainless steel tank for long life and corrosion resistance is also standard. These electric pool heaters can be used for residential or commercial applications.

What is the difference between 1 phase 2 phase and 3 phase? What are phases?

BEST ANSWER: 1 phase refers to most residential power applications. It means the unit requires 2 power legs of 120 volts (same voltage as an electric range or dryer, but much higher amps) 3 phase is for commercial applications or very few residential scenarios that have large power requirements such as an automotive shop or some other type of industrial work occurring (3 phase is very rare in residential areas). 3 phase power means the unit requires 3 power legs of 120 volts. There really isn't a difference between 1 phase and 2 phase power (2 phase terminology really isn't used in the electrical industry, its either 1 phase or 3 phase).
