This is a stainless steel thermowell used on Raypak millivolt heaters with capron headers. This stainless steel well houses the capilary tube from the temperature sensor (003346F). This part includes a stainless tube with a brass threaded end which threads into the capron header.
For use with: For Heat Exchanger, Fits Model 206A, 266A, 336A, 406A Digital Atmospheric, 207A, 267A, 337A, 407A Digital Low NOx Millivolt Pool Heater

Its nice to see a company stand behind there products with an extended warranty. I hope I never have to use it, but it is nice knowing i have it if I need it. The original well sensor lasted over 15 years and I have replaced it with another from a different company witch lasted two months and when I called them I got no help whatsoever. So I replaced it with this one and well see.

There is leaking coming from the capillary tube opening on my 552-2 tank assembly. What other than the retaining clip holds the bulb in place? Is it possible to replace the bulb alone to stop the leaking? Which thermostat (9A or B) replaces the old Honeywell part 600827B? The metal housing for the ground wire seems to be in the way of removing the capillary tube, how can I remove without moving the housing?

BEST ANSWER: I ordered the Raypak and used the retaining clip plus some high temp ‘grease’ to fill the annular space. I also noticed water in the ‘hole’...but I did not observe a leak. Might have been from weather or condensation.

Is it supposed to have a hole in the bottom? Mine is leaking from the top.

Warranty
Raypak, Inc. (“Raypak”) warrants to the original owner that the below model pool and spa heater (the “Heater”) when installed in the contiguous 48 states of the United States of America with a pool or spa by a properly licensed installer will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the Applicable Warranty Period. The foregoing warranty will extend to subsequent owners solely as required by applicable state law. Under this Limited Warranty, Raypak will, at its option, repair or furnish a replacement for any defective part of the HEATER. The repair or replacement will be warranted for only the unexpired portion of the original Applicable Warranty Period (as defined below).
* THIS WARRANTY PERIOD IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR HEATERS INSTALLED ANYWHERE OTHER THAN A SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING, AS THIS HEATER IS NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL INSTALLATION.

Its nice to see a company stand behind there products with an extended warranty. I hope I never have to use it, but it is nice knowing i have it if I need it.
