Offers all the fun of its big brother, the TurboTwister, yet in a smaller package for more limited deck space!
The Typhoon slide is modeled after SR Smith's popular TurboTwister, but built with slightly smaller pools in mind. This full-sized addition to the rotomolded slide line (heliX, TurboTwister and Cyclone) stands 7'4" tall to the top of the handrails and uses the same GrandRapids high-volume water delivery system with a flume nearly 10 feet long. The Typhoon is available in Sandstone and Gray Granite designer colors to fit in seamlessly with your backyard decor.
Installation instructions for the Typhoon are provided on this page in the Product Resource Center. Its 25 gpm water delivery system can be plumbed through the pool's return line or connected to any garden hose.
This slide was designed by SR Smith for fun and safety with an enclosed ladder and molded handrails.

FUN!
I so much love our new slide! The kids have been having a blast all summer long. The enclosed ladder gives me piece of mind while the kids are climbing up and that their feet arent going to slip through. I highly recommend this slide!

The slide was fairly easy to assemble with two people. Some of the alignments were tight and piece had to be wiggled to properly match up holes. There clips on the back of the steps which are to hold the water supply pipe do not fit the size of the pipe, it really just hangs there, should be looked at. Overall we are very happy and kids love it.

Decided I needed to spoil myself a little bit, so i went and got a new slide for my pool. Made sure to get the salt friendly model for my pool, got my husband to assemble the slide, and now we can enjoy our brand new Typhoon!

Would definitely recommend this product. Came very quickly and it was not that difficult to put together. Our granddaughters put it to the test and they were on it all day. Had a party with just adults and they had as much fun as the kids. Very sturdy great product.

Great slide!
The Typhoon replaced an aging slide from the 90's. This was fairly simple to install myself. After measuring location for new slide and making sure it would fit I ordered the Typhoon! Follow the directions and a handy homeowner can install this themselves. My kids love the slide and it looks fantastic! Thanks for great price and fast shipping!

Typhoon Slide
This is a great, well made slide. Was easily put together. Very well constructed. Kids love it. Our only problem was we have a retractable cover that sets on the cement around the pool. We need about 2" higher due to not being able to open and close the cover. Something to consider if you have the same issue.

We love the slide, just wish it didnt leak.
Where the top section of the slide attaches to the top section of the steps, water leaks along the underside of the seam. Not sure if its a faulty gasket or what.

Very difficult to put together
We had to use a rachet strap to put the slide together as the holes did not line up perfectly to put the screws into. The slide overall looks amazing and the kids love it. Just be prepared that it may take some extra help to put it together.

Great Slide, need patience to assemble
First off overall great slide, lots of fun.. However,
You need to have a way to get the slide to your garage or pool area, the freight company just puts it on the curb. The box and pallet are over 8' tall x 5' long and 3' deep so not a easy package to move it also it weighs 300#.
assembly, though its well constructed some holes and bolts are tough to line up. the pieces individually are not super heavy but manipulating them to get the bolts to line up it a challenge. I needed long wood clamps/ pipe clamps to squeeze parts together to get the hole to line up. Also some bolts just don't and you need to modify the drilled portion a little to get the bolts through. Also the upper ladder portion where it attaches to the upper runway of the slide, does not fully compress the gasket to seal and will leak I remedied with some LEXEL sealant and works fine. just an FYI.
If you are mechanically inclined and can figure stuff out and can do basic plumbing you can put this together with help Using Pool Supply Unlimited it saved me nearly 4K with buying from local pool store and having them install. overall 4 stars, fun factor 5 stars.

The assembly and installation was not hard at all. Slide seems to be of good quality. If we could change anything it would be the color. We chose Granite Grey....It gets really hot. Should have gone with the lighter color. Over all satisfied.

We bought a left curve slide. We like it but, I would never buy another slide with a connecting joint half way down. I really hurts whenever you slide over it. I have tried everything to adjust it to make it smoother. I gave up. Company is excited to go go down our slide but only go down once. We are happy with the quality of this slide though. I do wish I had realized this before I bought it. I sure would have opted for a different smoother slide.

BEST ANSWER: it is made of the same stuff roto molded coolers are made of, like Yeti's or Rtics, but slightly softer material. so Likely a LDPE

I want to put this slide on the left side on my pool. The left side is when I am sitting at the shallow end looking at the deep end. SHould I get a left or right curve?

BEST ANSWER: It is hard to give a straight answer without knowing the depth at the point of entry and curvature of the pool if any.. Aesthetically i would use a left swing and have the steps facing away from you. It can be more fun to watch people come down the slide especially if it is your kids. There is nothing like staring at a set of steps and not seeing peoples expressions as they come down the slide. You will need to check the specifications of the depth requirements by both the manufacturer and also local codes. Either way you go it is a fun slide and I know your family will enjoy it.

This says in-ground pool only? I have an above ground 24’ round but has a deck all around the pool, could this be used?

BEST ANSWER: It bolts to the concrete and must be leveled so if you can bolt it to the deck and make it level it might work. Be Leary that the boards can come loose though and cause danger and damages.

Depends on if deck has enough room and if it can handle the weight. Ours dumps into water that is 4 1/2 deep and a heavier adult will hit the bottom as well.

Warranty
S.R.Smith, LLC warrants to the original retail purchaser that products manufactured by S.R.Smith, when properly assembled and installed in accordance with S.R.Smith's assembly and installation instructions, and properly used and maintained, shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period of three (3) years from the date of retail purchase except for the following items set forth below:
- Game Accessories (ball, pump, net): Ninety Days
- WetDek: One Year
- Resin Transfer Molded (RTM) Slides, Seats, Loungers, and Tables: One Year
- Aquatic Lift System Frames (excluding the powder coated finish, which may become scratched with normal use): Five Years

FUN!
I so much love our new slide! The kids have been having a blast all summer long. The enclosed ladder gives me piece of mind while the kids are climbing up and that their feet arent going to slip through. I highly recommend this slide!

The slide was fairly easy to assemble with two people. Some of the alignments were tight and piece had to be wiggled to properly match up holes. There clips on the back of the steps which are to hold the water supply pipe do not fit the size of the pipe, it really just hangs there, should be looked at. Overall we are very happy and kids love it.

Decided I needed to spoil myself a little bit, so i went and got a new slide for my pool. Made sure to get the salt friendly model for my pool, got my husband to assemble the slide, and now we can enjoy our brand new Typhoon!

Would definitely recommend this product. Came very quickly and it was not that difficult to put together. Our granddaughters put it to the test and they were on it all day. Had a party with just adults and they had as much fun as the kids. Very sturdy great product.

Great slide!
The Typhoon replaced an aging slide from the 90's. This was fairly simple to install myself. After measuring location for new slide and making sure it would fit I ordered the Typhoon! Follow the directions and a handy homeowner can install this themselves. My kids love the slide and it looks fantastic! Thanks for great price and fast shipping!

Typhoon Slide
This is a great, well made slide. Was easily put together. Very well constructed. Kids love it. Our only problem was we have a retractable cover that sets on the cement around the pool. We need about 2" higher due to not being able to open and close the cover. Something to consider if you have the same issue.

We love the slide, just wish it didnt leak.
Where the top section of the slide attaches to the top section of the steps, water leaks along the underside of the seam. Not sure if its a faulty gasket or what.

Very difficult to put together
We had to use a rachet strap to put the slide together as the holes did not line up perfectly to put the screws into. The slide overall looks amazing and the kids love it. Just be prepared that it may take some extra help to put it together.

Great Slide, need patience to assemble
First off overall great slide, lots of fun.. However,
You need to have a way to get the slide to your garage or pool area, the freight company just puts it on the curb. The box and pallet are over 8' tall x 5' long and 3' deep so not a easy package to move it also it weighs 300#.
assembly, though its well constructed some holes and bolts are tough to line up. the pieces individually are not super heavy but manipulating them to get the bolts to line up it a challenge. I needed long wood clamps/ pipe clamps to squeeze parts together to get the hole to line up. Also some bolts just don't and you need to modify the drilled portion a little to get the bolts through. Also the upper ladder portion where it attaches to the upper runway of the slide, does not fully compress the gasket to seal and will leak I remedied with some LEXEL sealant and works fine. just an FYI.
If you are mechanically inclined and can figure stuff out and can do basic plumbing you can put this together with help Using Pool Supply Unlimited it saved me nearly 4K with buying from local pool store and having them install. overall 4 stars, fun factor 5 stars.

The assembly and installation was not hard at all. Slide seems to be of good quality. If we could change anything it would be the color. We chose Granite Grey....It gets really hot. Should have gone with the lighter color. Over all satisfied.

We bought a left curve slide. We like it but, I would never buy another slide with a connecting joint half way down. I really hurts whenever you slide over it. I have tried everything to adjust it to make it smoother. I gave up. Company is excited to go go down our slide but only go down once. We are happy with the quality of this slide though. I do wish I had realized this before I bought it. I sure would have opted for a different smoother slide.

I want to put this slide on the left side on my pool. The left side is when I am sitting at the shallow end looking at the deep end. SHould I get a left or right curve?

BEST ANSWER: It is hard to give a straight answer without knowing the depth at the point of entry and curvature of the pool if any.. Aesthetically i would use a left swing and have the steps facing away from you. It can be more fun to watch people come down the slide especially if it is your kids. There is nothing like staring at a set of steps and not seeing peoples expressions as they come down the slide. You will need to check the specifications of the depth requirements by both the manufacturer and also local codes. Either way you go it is a fun slide and I know your family will enjoy it.

This says in-ground pool only? I have an above ground 24’ round but has a deck all around the pool, could this be used?

BEST ANSWER: It bolts to the concrete and must be leveled so if you can bolt it to the deck and make it level it might work. Be Leary that the boards can come loose though and cause danger and damages.

Depends on if deck has enough room and if it can handle the weight. Ours dumps into water that is 4 1/2 deep and a heavier adult will hit the bottom as well.
