BEST ANSWER:To change the light to LED from fiber optic you have to a light and a box that supports the connections for power, and an on off method. I use a prolux box and the Treo light. You have to run power to the box and then remove the old light and install the treo. YouTube has instructive videos as to how to change the light, and this is what I used. It took 15 minutes to pull the old light out and thread the new light through. Remember to tape the new light to the existing cord and pull the new light cord through at the same time you are installing the new one. That is about it. The hardest part was running power to the prolux box.

I have the old style fiber optic lighting with one in the pool and one in the spa with a color wheel and wired through an Aqua link RS4 panel. what would I need to convert to LED's?
BEST ANSWER:Fiberstar makes a conversion kit, which consist of the box to replace your fiber optic box with all internal electronic components, a new remote, and whatever number of LED light heads you choose. I changed mine last winter and I cannot say enough about how easy it was and what a difference it makes. It is so worth the money. The remote also has a second channel so you can wire up something else to turn on and off such as landscape lighting. All you do is remove the fiber optic light head, pull through the fiber optic cable and tape the LED wire onto the cable before pulling it through so it is in place, and screw in the LED light head and connect the light inside the box and connect the 120V in power line inside the box and you're done. DO IT!!!!! You will not regret it.
