My lights no longer come on in my control box. How do I know if it's working? And what can I do to fix this problem

BEST ANSWER: the power for this unit comes from pool pump control.take off the cover and check 2 amp fuse with no power on the unit. take out the fuse and use a volt/ohm metetr to check fuse. if the fuse is good then power up the pool pump and check for 220 volt or 110 volt depending on what power the motor is wired for..from left to right screw terminal 2 and 3 should read 220 volt if wired for 220.if you have power then the unit needs replacing.if you do not then go back to pump control and see why no power is coming out of pool pump controller

I have had one of these machines for some years. The only ime I have had no lights I found that the cable had been eaten by a rat. I replaced it and it still worked fine. Sorry I can't be more helpful except to say no lit LEDs = n power

Looking for a replacement for Solarmetrics SP10. Will the Hayward device work as a replacement?

BEST ANSWER: very sorry but this was all a long while back. I think that it was a replacement valve for the solar heating on my French Pool. Can't get there to look at it. If it is that valve it's working fine and is driven by a "Gold Star" pool temperature machine and is working fine.

BEST ANSWER: It has the jumper that you can change, it arrives set for heating. This is pretty much the same unit they have been selling for almost 2 decades, not much has changed if anything.

How do I use the cooling aspect? I know I have to run everything at night and turn it down to 75 degrees. Do I put it on manual or auto?

BEST ANSWER: You just leave it on manual. If the pool has made it over the 75 degrees you have set - which often happens in SW France when the sun is beating down on a really hot day - the pump uses the solar panel as a giant radiator until the pool reahes the set 75 degrees and then everything shuts down until sun up.
